Dad’s Poem
Our Dad was our rock
His sudden passing has left us in shock
We believe our dear Mother decided his time with us was enough
To bestow upon us all of his everlasting love
Together again, they will forever remain in Heaven’s shine
They will build us a nest as they did on this side and as divine
Service before self is not something we dreamed
Making others happy was a quality he gleamed
Family first, work hard, help build community
Make yourself bigger with each opportunity
And express yourself through your creativity
Enjoy the fruits of your labour
Be in awe of Mother Nature
And treat everyone as they were your neighbour
You can let go now Daddy
We will take it from here
It won’t always be easy
We are so proud to be your lass and laddies
And will live in your glowing memory
Love you Dad, Sterling
