James Gerard Swyers St. George’s, NL April 30, 1946 – Nov. 26, 2020 It is with much love that we the family of James Swyers mourn his passing on Thursday, November 26, 2020 at the Health Science Center, St. John’s, NL at the age of 74 years. Originally from St. George’s, NL, our beloved husband, father, grandfather, brother, uncle, and friend will be sadly missed and lovingingly remembered by his wife Alice; children: Martin (Sandra) and Karren; grandchildren: Evan and Emily, sisters: Marjorie Green and Deborah Morris, sisters-in-law; Laverne and Wilfreda, brother-in-law; Eugene as well as many nieces, nephews, other family and friends. He was pre-deceased by his father Richard Swyers; mother Sarah Swyers (nee Renouf); sisters Lorraine and Joanne; and brothers Calvin, Neil, Brian and Brendan. To honor and respect James wishes cremation has taken place at Barrett’s Funeral Home, St. John’s, NL. A private service will take place at a later date. As expressions of sympathy, donations may be made to a Charity of Ones’ Choice. Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to Fillatre’s Funeral Home, Stephenville Crossing, NL.
