Born at Boswarlos, NL
November 14, 1923 – December 6, 2020
Passed peacefully away on Sunday, December 6, 2020 at her family residence, Jessie Nellie Bailey at the age of 97 years. She leaves to mourn with fond and loving memories her son Vern (Holly) Labrador City; daughters: Sylvia (Jerry) Fudge, Corner Brook and Brenda (Paul) Thomas whom she resided with in Corner Brook; sisters-in-law: Minnie Beverly, Ettie Dennis, Annie Fry & Ada Harvey all of Ontario; grandchildren: Dana, Matthew, Brendan, Tara, Gloria, Jonathan & Mark; great grandchildren: Nicholas, Christopher, Riley, Daniel, Chaytor, Elodie, Joey, & Ethan. A large circle of nephews, nieces & friends including best friend Daphne Thomas and her extended Special Olympic family. Predeceased by husband Joseph 1997 and son Gary 2018, her parents Walter & Jessie Harvey, 7 brothers Ralph, Aubrey, Clyde, Leslie, Roy, Gerard, & Walter, 6 sisters Hazel, Violet, Pearl, Ruby, Maisie & Vera. A private family visitation will take place at Fillatre’s Funeral Home, 4 St. Mark’s Avenue. A private family funeral service will be held on Wednesday, December 9 at Fillatre’s Funeral Chapel. Interment to follow at Mount Patricia Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations greatly accepted to the S.P.C.A, Special Olympics Corner Brook Vikings Club or to a charity of one’s Choice.
