John Charles Kippenhuck November 21, 1930 - January 5, 2021 With great sadness we announce that John Charles Kippenhuck passed peacefully away at the Labrador South Health Centre on January 5, 2021 at the age of 90. A strong and caring man he blessed the lives of those around him. John was predeceased by his parents George Kippenhuck and Ella May Laing; brothers Joe, Willie and twin brother Paul Kippenhuck sisters Clara Campbell, Ina Grace and Martha Kippenhuck. John leaves to mourn his loving wife Winnie; his children Patsy (Earl) Marilyn (Clarus) Florence (Thomas) Lydia (Thomas) Myra, Olive Gaye (Clayton) and Elizabeth; sons Edmund (Louise), Carl (Marilyn) and George ( Zillah). He also leaves to mourn 27 grandchildren 34 great grandchildren and many nieces, nephews and close relatives and friends John was a wonderful husband and father who loved to teach his children to work with their hands and do things for themselves. He loved racing in everything he did whether it was berry picking , fishing , hunting snowmobiling or boating, He was an inventive man who could build anything from pontoon boats to long liners, houses to cabins , and picture frames to rocking chairs. Dad fished for many years which was intercepted by a career with Newfoundland Hydro that he truly enjoyed. John had two great loves in his life; one was his precious Lord and Saviour and the other was his wife. He was loyal to his Lord family and friends and made sure that everyone was felt welcome in his home. Special thanks to the family members that helped care for John during his illness and kept him home comfortably for so long. Resting at the Charlottetown Gospel Hall, visitation is by private arrangement. The funeral service will occur on Friday, January 8th, 2021, at 2:00 PM at the Charlottetown Gospel Hall and is invitation-only due to COVID-19 restrictions. The burial will take place at the Charlottetown Gospel Hall cemetery shortly after the funeral service.
