Marilyn Marina Hunt August 24, 1935 - January 10, 2021 Mt. Moriah, NL The family of Marilyn (Merl) Marina Hunt would like to announce her passing on Sunday, January 10th, 2021 at Corner Brook Long Term Care at the age of 85 years. She leaves with fond memories, her family; daughter Gail Samms (Jim); grandchildren Erica Hurley (Shannon), Jessica Webster (James) and Ryan Hunt; brothers George Butt (Margaret), Ulrick Butt (Diane), Tom Butt (Judy), Terry Butt (Christine) and Rodger Butt (Olga); sisters Judy Batten, Jessie Edmonds and Daphne Seymore. She also leaves her great grandchildren who were her pride and they will always remember her special kisses; Shantel Hurley, James Hurley and Ryder Webster. A large number of family members, nieces, nephews, cousins, friends and community members are also included in those left to carry on her memory. She was predeceased by her parents Pheobe and Norman Butt of Mount Moriah, her loving and devoted husband Eric Hunt, her son Lorne Hunt, and sister Ivy Kettle. Special thanks to Dr. Culliton and all the care providers from 2 South Corner Brook Long Term care facility. Due to Covid Government Restrictions there will be a private family visitation followed by a private family service and interment at Mt. Patricia Cemetery on Wednesday, January 13th, 2021, Rev. Deacon Cynthia Haines Turner officiating. Anyone wishing to make a donation can do so to a charity of one’s choice.
