Marie Furlong-Swannie Corner Brook, NL March 24, 1952 – January 9, 2021 It is with great sadness that the family of the late Marie Furlong-Swannie announce her passing on Saturday, January 9, 2021. Marie was a rare and beautiful soul, fierce, fearless, loving, and full of passion for life. Marie inspired her friends and family to be the best version of themselves and by doing so made the world a better place. "May your light shine on us from heaven and we will forever miss you." Marie left us with countless memories of joyful gatherings at her home and cabin over the years. She brought warmth and laughter to all who knew her. May your light shine on us from heaven we will forever miss you. She leaves to mourn with fond and loving memories her sons: Edward and William (Estrella); step-daughters: - Maya (Greg) and Marta; grandchildren: Micah, Cedar & Pia; sisters: Muriel (Larry) and Shirley (Hubert); mother Josephine Furlong; brothers: Cliff (Libby), Dan (Lucy), Gerry (Sharon); nephews and nieces: Aaron, Meghan, Alanna, Darren, Loren, Jeremy, Maria, Michael, Jonathan, Danny, Mark, Christina, Gerry, Keith, Jeff and Jacklyn; as well as grand nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. She was predeceased by husband Ted, father Lewis Furlong and brother Llewellyn Furlong, brother-in-law Lawrence (Larry) Felt. Cremation has taken place, memorial service and burial to be announced at a later date. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Diabetic Association. .
