The family of the late Alan James Fraser Durno regret to announce his sudden passing on January 12, 2021 in Happy Valley-Goose Bay, NL at the age of 78 years. Al will be sadly missed by his wife of 52 years, Ruby, his daughters Lynn, Kelly (Todd), his grandchildren, Alexis (Marcus), Scott (Julie), Jackson and Morgan, his brother John (Adah), nieces Kim (Rob), Margaret (Jeff) as well as other relatives and many friends. Al was predeceased by his mother, Margaret, his father, Miles, his mother in law, Ruth and his father in law Ernest. Friends may visit Fillatre’s Funeral home for visitation on Thursday January 14th from 2-3pm, or 4-5pm, family visitation will take place from 6-7pm. Funeral Services to be held at St. Andrew’s Anglican Church with Reverend Nellie Thomas officiating. Date to be announced later in the day. As expressions of sympathy donations may be made to the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation (JDRF). Special thanks to our many wonderful family and friends, especially Marge, Scotty, Jim, Sherri, Stanley, Mark, the “Huskies”, the Town of Happy Valley-Goose Bay Volunteer Fire Fighters and the countless people who visited, messaged and brought food. We are forever thankful for the time we had with him and for the love he showed everyone. Due to Covid Government Restrictions there will be a private limited visitation.
