Evangeline Prosper (nee Penney) Corner Brook, NL September 7, 1935 – January 14, 2021 Passed peacefully away with her family by her side, Evangeline Prosper on Thursday, January 14, 2021 at the Western Long Term Care Palliative Care Unit at the age of 85 years. She leaves to mourn with fond and loving memories her children: Wayne (Renee) and Sherry (Roy); grandchildren: Rhonda (Mark), Jamie (Natasha) and Cory (Farrah); great-grandchildren: Erik, Ella, Zack, Annie, Liam and Hannah; sister Isabell; brothers: Edgar (Myrtle) and Robert; brother-in-law James Whiteway; as well as a large circle of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. She was predeceased by her husband Hector, parents James and Susanna Penney, sisters Verna, Madeline, Inez, Rose and Velma, sisters-in-law Muriel, Jean and Juanita, brothers-in-law Bill, Eric, Murdock, Martin, Manson, Sonny and Don, son-in-law Ron. A special thank you to her homecare worker Pauline Colbourne and for the care of Dr. Lafferty and the palliative care nurses who are made of gold. A private family visitation will be held at Fillatre’s Funeral Home, 4 St. Mark’s Avenue. The funeral service will be held at First Pentecostal Church, Premier Drive on Saturday, January 16 at 2:00 p.m. with Pastor Larry Soper officiating. Interment to follow at Mount Patricia Cemetery. As expressions of sympathy flowers graciously accepted.
