James (Jim) Wilson Samms July 31, 1954 - January 13, 2021 Mt. Moriah, NL James (Jim) Samms of Mount Moriah, NL passed away suddenly on Wednesday, January 13th, 2021 at the age of 66 years surrounded by his loving family. He leaves behind his loving and devoted wife Gail Samms, and daughters Erica (Shannon) and Jessica (James). His love for his cabin and the woods was only exceeded by his love for his grandchildren. Poppy's pride and joy's will always remember him , including his love of joking and spoiling them; Shantel, James and Ryder. He also leaves brother Bernard Samms (Nancy), sister Shirley Samms (Pete) and cousins, nieces, nephews, friends and family. He was predeceased by his parents Yvonne and Wilson Samms of Benoit's Cove, brothers Paul Samms, David Samms and Kenneth Samms, sisters Joan Samms and Elizabeth/Betty Samms, brother-in-law Lorne Hunt and parents-in-law Eric and Marilyn Hunt. Jim can be remembered for his kind caring heart and his love for home, Newfoundland. In his memory, donations can be made to a charity or group of one’s choice if desired. Special thanks to Tony Wheeler for being a brother from another mother. Also , thank you to Dr. Sheldon Butt for his support. There will be no formal service at this time.
