Anthony (Tony) John Byrne January 31, 1952 -December 3, 2020 It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Anthony (Tony) John Byrne on December 3, 2020 at his residence in Cambridge, Ontario after a short battle with cancer at the age of 68. His devoted wife Peggy, his loving sister Cecilia and his only son Kyle were by his side. Tony was born on January 31, 1952 in his family’s home at 170 Petries Street in Curling, Corner Brook, NL. Tony’s greatest love was his family, he was the most loving husband, father, brother, uncle and friend and nothing made him prouder than being a “pop” to his two grandchildren Savanna and Ryder Byrne. Anyone who knew Tony would tell you of the great man he was. He always lived life to the fullest and made countless wonderful memories along the way, his death has left a gaping void in the lives of his family and friends. Left to deeply mourn his death, his wife and partner of 49 years Peggy, son Kyle and grandchildren Savanna and Ryder; sisters: Mary, Cecilia (Jim), brothers: Patrick, Frank (Mona), Harold (Donna). As well he will be lovingly remembered by his many nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews and numerous friends. Tony was predeceased by his mother Elizabeth, father James, brother-in-law Wendell and the mother of his grandchildren Karli Chomick. A celebration of Tony’s life will be held at a later date. As expressions of sympathy memorial donations may be made to a charity of ones choice.
