It is with deep sadness that the family of the late Lillian Pearl Hillier announces her passing on Tuesday, January 30, 2018 at Western Memorial Hospital, Corner Brook at the age of 95. She passed peacefully away surrounded by her loving family. Leaving to mourn her daughters; Nellie (Alex) Simms, Yvonne Giles, Vivian (Eugene) Andrews; her sons; Maxwell (Rhodena) Giles, John (Joan) Giles, daughter-in-law Sylvia Giles (Roy). Her grandchildren; Wendy, Wanda (Tom), Lorianne (Jamie), Jason (Michelle), John, Nam Chiu (Savannah) Goi-hing, Troy, Darren (Peggy), Dwayne (Heather), Lynn (Trevor), Peter (Norma), Johnathon (Joni), Jeremy (Maxine), Janine (Josh), Douglas (Christine), Louanne, Heidi (Keith), Martin (Donna), Dwayne (Matilda), Perry (Theresa), Terry (Lori), Tony (Donna), Quentin (Wendy), Tracy, Richard (Lisa). Also 50 great-grandchildren and 4 great-great-grandchildren. Her brothers, John (Maxine) Vivian, Ross Vivian, sister-in-law Violet Vivian and special niece Sandra (Bill) Curlew, as well as nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. She is pre-deceased by Norman Giles (husband & father of her children), Cecil Hillier (husband), Malcolm Noble (special friend); her parents John & Alice Vivian; sons Norman Giles Jr., Scott Giles, Harvey Giles; her daughter Jean Giles, sons-in-law James Langdon and Joe Leung; her sister Jean Clause; brothers Edgar Vivian and Simon Vivian; grand-daughter Natalie (Giles) Palmer. Visitation will take place at Fillatre’s Funeral Home, 10 Clinic Drive, Deer Lake on Thursday, February 1st from 7-9 pm and on Friday, February 2nd, from 2-4 pm and 7-9 pm. The funeral service will be held at the St. Michael & All Angels Anglican Church, 21 Farm Road, Deer Lake on Saturday, February 3rd, 2018 at 2:00 p.m. with Rev. Canon Paulette Bugden officiating. Interment to follow at the Deer Lake Interdenominational Cemetery. As expressions of sympathy flowers will be accepted or donations may be made to a charity of ones’ choice.
