ALBERT LEWIS Conche, NL November 30th, 1910 - May 18th, 2009 WWII Veteran Forestry Unit Passed away peacefully, surrounded by his loving family, Albert Lewis of Conche, a Veteran of Newfoundland Overseas Forestry Unit from 1940 - 1946. Leaving to mourn his devoted wife of 59 years Bride, two daughters: Bridget (Dennis Porter) and Nellie (Colin Wall), four sons: Steven (Rita), Don (Joan), Maurice (Alice) and Barry (Maxine), 11 grandchildren: Renee, Courtney, Mark, Miriam, Clare, Jonathan, Jeffrey, Jason, Victor, Aimee and Alicia, sister Madeline, St. John’s, brother Harry, Conche. As well as a large circle of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. He was predeceased by his parents Harry and Ellen, sisters Cecilia and Mary. Friends may visit Fillatre’s Funeral Home, 4 St. Mark’s Avenue, Corner Brook on Tuesday 2-4 & 7-9 p.m. Visitation will continue on Wednesday at 6:00 p.m. from Sacred Heart Roman Catholic Church in Conche from where the funeral service will be held on Friday, May 22nd at 2:00 p.m. Interment to follow at the Church Cemetery. As expressions of sympathy flowers graciously accepted or donations may be made to the Parkinson’s Society or the War Memorial in Conche. The family guest book may be signed or a memorial donation may be made through our website www.fillatre.ca.
