Obituary of Ruth Bowring

Audrey Ruth Bowring

January 13, 1934 -February 17, 2021

With heavy hearts the family of the late Audrey Ruth Bowring announce her passing at the Palliative Care Unit at Western Long-Term Care on February 17, 2021 in her 87th year. She was the kindest, most gentle and patient mother, grandmother, great grandmother, wife, sister and friend anyone could ask for. She loved music and always held a special place in her heart for animals. Ruth was also a very spiritual woman, devoting herself to God in multiple congregations. She leaves to mourn her children: Lily (Terry), George (Christine), Chris (Carla), brother Melvin (Jackie), grandchildren: Justin (Vanessa), Jordan (Rosa), Nicole, Stephen, Caylee and Cate; great grandchildren: Tyler, Bailey, Ryder, Lily, sister-in-law Elaine Vardy, special niece Kay Morneau (Jacques), family friend Christina Hepditch and her son Liam, as well as numerous nieces, nephews’ other relatives and friends. She was predeceased by her husband Harvey, parents George and Lily Vardy, brothers Jack, Max, Ralph, Harvey and Gary, sisters Trudy, Nelly, Joan and Midge. Special thanks to the staff at Mountain View Retirement Center, WMRH and the staff of the Palliative Care Unit, your care and kindness are appreciated more than words can say. As expressions of sympathy in lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to the local SPCA. Due to Covid-19 Government restrictions a private funeral and burial service will be held Saturday, February 20, 2021.
