Elizabeth (Eliza) Lavers
March 16, 1942 – February 17, 2021
It is with sadness that we announce the sudden passing of Elizabeth (Eliza) Mary Lavers on February 17, 2021 at the age of 78.
She will be sadly missed but always lovingly remembered by her children: Ivy, Vonnie, Dinah (Maurice), Fred (Leah), Anne (Bobby), Marge (Jean), Julie (Ken), Theresa (Peter); grandchildren: Angelique, Christopher, Dylan, Danielle, Cory, Christie, Justine, Reg, Brandon, Erica, and Danica and several great grandchildren whom she loved dearly. She was very much looking forward to meeting her most recent great grandchild Raymond when the Covid-19 Government restrictions lifted. She will remain in the hearts of her siblings: Ben (Hazel), Gerald (Shirley), John (Maude), Danny (Noreen), Murray (Linda), Madelyn (Henry), Margaret (Wade). She held a special place in her heart for her numerous nieces, nephews, and her large circle of friends most especially Theresa Dobbin, with whom she shared a great deal of love and laughter. Evening card games with her friends Wayne & June were a highlight, she would have played every night if she could have. Eliza was predeceased by her husband John Lavers, parents Jack & Mary Dobbin, sister Jenny, brothers Pat, Edward, Brian, Calvin and Stanley.
Our Mom was a very special person who left a lasting mark on many lives.
She was a kind & loving soul with a great sense of humour and loved having fun. Her home care workers Amanda and Trina became a part of the family, she loved them and they loved her, many great memories were made during their time together. They developed such a tight bond, when one had to leave it was very difficult to find a suitable replacement, until she found Rob, who turned out to be a perfect fit because he too loved to laugh. On January 26, 2018, she lost the love of her life, husband John Lavers, they married March 29, 1959, no doubt their heavenly reunion was beautiful.
Due to Covid-19 Government Restrictions a Funeral Mass will be held at a later date.
