My Great Aunt Stella. You truly were one of the kindest and gentlest souls. I enjoyed my visits to your house with my parents for tea, visits to your cabin at Wilburn Bay with my children, and how you always asked about my kids every time I seen you around town. You would even ask how our little dog was doing. I will miss stopping into my parents and seeing you there with Uncle Gerald for a Skipbo game night (with chips & dip of course!).
There was no visiting your cabin without offers of tea and a snack, a genuine “Don’t you worry about that!” when I apologized for the kids and I making the floors wet with snow as we piled in from ice fishing or down for a ride. I'll miss your delicious mac & cheese I looked forward to every November bonfire for Uncle Gerald's birthday down at the cabin. You were a wonderful hostess & aunt, and made us feel so welcome each time we were around you. I am so happy Olivia and I got to see you on Halloween at your door (and you gave Olivia the remaining treats with a “here you go, I won’t get anyone else tonight down here, you take what’s left” ) Had I known that was the last time I’d see you and speak to you, I would have stayed longer and chatted more…and hugged you before we left.
Your kindness and love for your family, and anyone that needed your help, will be your legacy ❤️
My family will miss you.
