Grace Marina Batten

July 6, 1935 – April 20, 2022

It is with heavy hearts and sadness that the family of the late Marina Batten announces her passing at the Fort Nelson General Hospital, Fort Nelson, BC on Wednesday, April 20, 2022.

Leaving to mourn her passing and remember her love are her 5 children:  Basil (Vicky), Janice, Craig (Caroline), Darryl (Carol) and Dale (Daisy).  Grandchildren:  Dale, Jenny, Pamela, Crystal, Sean, Sabrina, Angela, Christopher, Keshia, Carl, and Cayden.  Great - grandchildren: Cole, Chance, Madison, Brodie, Kalik, Samantha, Ryann, Charlie, Logan, Dylan, Ashton, Penny, Willa, Olivia, Anne, Kailey, and Mariah.  Sister Phyllis and many nieces, nephews, relatives, and friends.

Marina was predeceased by her husband Samuel Batten, parents, Clifford and Elfreda Dingwell, sister, Josephine Pretty, and brother Basil Dingwell:  Great-grandson: Tyson Kinch, brother in-law Ernest Chaulk, nephews:  Christopher Puddister, Stephen Robertson, Barry Pretty, Jonathon French, and nieces: Judy Dwyer and Shelly Pretty.

Friends may visit Fillatre’s Funeral Home, 4 St. Marks Avenue on Wednesday, May 4, 2022 from the hours of 2-4 and 7-9 P.M.  The funeral service will be held on May 5, 2022 at 2:00 P.M. from Fillatre’s Chapel, St Marks Avenue.  The interment will follow at Mt. Patricia Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers donations in Marina’s name can be made to the Gizeh Shriners of BC & Yukon or Make – A – Wish Foundation, or any preferred charity.
