To Glen’s family,
Sincere condolences on his passing. We all grew up together on Brookfield Avenue spending time playing outdoors together as kids , watching Mr. Dredge burn the outdated chips on bonfire night at the end of the street at that time, to sitting on the steps as adults with Glen and his mom.
Glen often did repairs for “Mrs. Wiseman” as he always respectfully referred to mom, even as an adult.

I am so very sorry to learn of Glen’s passing. It was only this summer that Deli and Frank talked about how all the family were together.
I remember Glen from growing up in Corner Brook
and his family. Growing up in Corner Brook was pretty special as we knew the many families in our area and the Jacobs on Brookfield Ave. Such a sad loss for all the family, his children and grandchildren. Many people speak so highly of him. Please know that I am thinking about you all and pray that you will find comfort from the memories and from one another.

Jocelyn, Jennifer, Joshua, and Jaclyn and Family's,
I am saddened to hear about the too soon and too sudden passing of Glen. It has been many years since I was in contact with Glen, but I will always remember the pool and beer drinking days that we had. He always won pool games, and I always won beer drinking. Not a flattering position for me but he was No 1 in so many ways. From one Poppy to another, I better step up my game. May you rest in peace.

Colleen and I were shocked when we heard of Glen's Passing. We will remember him as a kind gentle friendly person who did not mind helping anyone out or lending a hand. He gave freely of his time when he was available. He went out of way to meet us when we were in Corner Brook last year. That meant a lot to us. If you asked for help he gave it. Glen,
It’s only been a few days but this loss has been as our youngest grandchild, Nora, describes big things as G-normous. You were part of most of my life. High school sweetheart and soul mate until the end. I could talk to you about anything but it was mainly about the kids especially our concern and pride for them. Family always came first for us. You were there when we needed you. Family gatherings will never be the same. We expect you to walk through the door and join us. Even right now we keep saying you would want to be here with us. Regular Friday night FamJams on our phones with all the kids will never be the same either. Our walks down memory lane this week with the many pictures and videos and playing songs like those of your favourite Rolling Stones bring out tears and laughter which is helping us get through this. We are all wishing we had more time with you but as in the words of one Stones song you loved you were “out of time”. Another Stones song tells us “a smile relieves a heart that grieves”. It’s hard to imagine a life here without you. You are so loved and greatly missed. Thank you for everything. Jocelyn

So shocked and sad to learn of Glen's passing. Glen and I grew up together and were the best of friends. As adults we took different paths but even with that physical distance between us we always stayed in touch, celebrating each others birthdays, sharing pictures of our grandchildren and to just say hello. I will miss him very much. My heart goes out to all of the Jacobs family. We lost a very good one, too early

I am so very saddened to hear of Glen's (Jake's) untimely passing. I have many great memories of Jake growing up in Corner Brook and since the advent of Facebook we were able to reconnect and have a few laughs across the miles. I will never forget you buddy. Utter shock, sadness and a great sense of loss barely capture my sentiments over Glen's sudden and untimely passing.
I had the good fortune of growing up right next door to the Jacobs'. They were a great family to be alongside - from top to bottom, oldest to youngest.
Glen, being the seventh of nine children, was the "leader of the band" for his latter born siblings as well as those of us of similar age on the middle of Brookfield Avenue.
Like Jack and Paul, Glen aka Jake was a "brother by another" to, and for, me. So many great times and learnings were had "back in the day".
While big in physical stature, he was even larger than life in many respects for his circle of loved ones and close friends.
There is yet another permanent star above us and his memory will forever shine bright for me.
"Jackem", my old buddy. Rest in peace.
God love you. We all did.
To the entire Jacobs' family, both immediate and extended, I offer my sincere condolences and heartfelt sympathy to you all.

Glen's family was everything to him, so my sincerest thoughts and prayers go out to all of you. I've known him since high school and we somehow managed to stay in touch throughout the years. The photo below is "Jake" providing his carpentry skills and work ethic in helping me with the basement renovation earlier this year.
