It is so hard to lose a parent,,especially the great ones we were so lucky and blessed to be ours.

Carolyn, Annmarie, Mary and all the family,
It's hard to think of Corner Brook and of growing up and adulthood without Mrs. Colbourne (she told me to stop calling her that, but habits from childhood are hard to break). She was always ready for fun, and a good tale, sharing stories of growing up in Curling East. I am so sorry for your loss. She will be dearly missed by so many. She was a wonderful woman who raised a wonderful family. Thinking of you and wishing I could be there.

Aunt Kit ( my favorite )) was a breath of fresh air ..with her smiles and laughter and lots of love for all to share. She will be sadly missed but Roger won her back and she will love being tended to again in his arms. I wish I could be there today and tomorrow for her family.

On behalf of the Board of Directors and all of the residents of Townsite Condominiums, we offer our sincere condolences on the passing of Kit. She was one of the original owners to occupy our building and charmed everyone here with her smile and quick wit. That twinkle in her eye was ever-present.
Although Kit moved out of Townsite many months ago when her mobility became quite challenged, her spirit continued to be felt. She will missed by all of us.

Carolyn and all Kit's family, we don't know how to express our sadness at the loss of your Mom, our special cousin Kit.
We have a lifetime of happy memories extending from our school days in Curling East and Petries to our "Curling Parties" in our senior years at Georges lake; days full of fun and laughter. We spent a full week as Kit's guests in 2019. Thank you, Carolyn, for including us in the TLC you always showed your Mom.
May she rest in peace with Rog.

I loved Aunt Kit. What I remember most is her mock anger if we visited Corner Brook from Stephenville but didn't drop in. You would HEAR ABOUT IT! :) And her shock and disbelief at how much I had grown between visits - haha she was so funny and sweet. Uncle Roger and her were a warm and regular presence in my life growing up and I will cherish those lovely memories. Love to the family. Xo

I was so saddened to hear of your Mom’s passing . She was such a warm and welcoming person ! I am reminded of when I was in high school and your family lived on Westmount . On occasion,if she was going somewhere special she would phone me to come down to do her hair. I remember that as if it were yesterday. It made me feel good that she would call . She had a way of making one feel special . For sure ,you will all be comforted by all the wonderful memories you each have of her .

I had the privilege of meeting Kit over twenty years ago at Forever Young Fitness. I well remember her 70th birthday because I told her she looked far younger than 70. Her reply to me was, “ Betty, fat people don't get wrinkles!” That epitomized her quick wit and sense of humour, which always made it a pleasure to bump into her. I am so very sorry to read about her passing today.
