To Gordon’s family, I am so sorry to hear of Gordon’s passing. I met him within the past couple years when he began bringing his beautiful driftwood art and wooden mailboxes to our shop to sell. Dear Sheila & Ingram and Skinner families, I was shocked and saddened to hear of Gord’s passing. I did not know that he was ill.
What a huge loss to his family and community. As well as being a successful businessman, Gord was a committed volunteer and devoted family man who enjoyed life to the fullest. He was kind, thoughtful and friendly - a nice guy to all. No wonder he had so many good friends! May your many lovely memories of life with Gord help you get through the difficult days ahead.

Gord-the man, the myth, the legend! A truly remarkable friend. We met in 1996 through our Foodland businesses. Bad jokes, quick wit and the ability to poke fun sealed the deal. Always ending in gut busting laughs and sometimes a bit of trouble. Of course his charm would always override, if not a quick glance from Sheila would straighten him out.
We were blessed with opportunity to travel the world and share many great adventures. Early morning beach walks, sunset suppers and beach photo ops..poolside fun and lies galore.. we shared many a whiskey .. at bars, on beaches, on cruise ships, in hotel rooms and occasionally in the back seat of a van on our way to a conference at the Wilds..We have been lost together in Sam Francisco and you kissing the pavement didn’t really help us find our way back! It was pure luck! Everywhere we went there had to be a bathroom spotter so you could make a quick run for it! Your stories of Pamela Anderson on Burgeo beach always left a few wondering if she really did live there. And we can never forget your debut performance on the grand piano on the cruise ship!
Your were a lover of family , friend and community and a true softy at heart.Thank you for sharing a piece of life’s journey with us. We are truly blessed to have had you in our lives. Until we meet again . Love Sheila and Bruce Holloway.
