Mom, words cannot describe the pain of losing you..a broken heart left behind filled with your love, our memories and all the lessons you taught me, but no physical body to hug, no voice to whisper (or yell) to me. I miss you and will never stop missing you.
You fought an amazing battle and no matter how many times it knocked you down, you got back up. You are my queen, the strongest person I know, and you taught me to be just as strong, so in honour of you and all your strength, I am standing back up and strengthening my crown!

There is something about losing that person that is permanent and inexpressible- a wound that will never quite heal. A broken heart, the worse type of pain.
Our grief is like the ocean, it comes in waves ebbing and flowing. Sometimes the water is calm, and sometimes is is overwhelming, but all we can do is learn to swim without you. A broken heart, the worse type of pain.
You will be loved, missed and remembered until we all take our last breath and meet you in the forever after.
Your wings were ready but our hearts were not!

To the beautiful family..
The first time I met this beautiful women was the night before Norma and Michelles wedding day. When all the ladies were getting there nails done. I wasn't suppose to come as I was away but showed up last minute and this beautiful momma bear was there with the biggest smile to greet me.
She gave me the biggest hug and welcomed me to your family. I will never forgot the wedding day when both our beautiful angels hugged one another. We all shared a tear. And then when the brides danced with there beautiful moms there was not a dry eye in the building. Our beautiful angels are with you today. She is watching over you all with a smile on her face and tears of joy seeing you all come together to celebrate her. She is with you today and everyday.

I lived away from home for many years. After retiring and moving back home I got to reconnect with many old friends and classmates. My oldest memory of Selma is when we were in Grade six in the old Elementary School. It was Education Week and our drawings were posted in the hallways for everyone to see. While I don’t remember the drawing itself, I remember how beautifully Selma wrote her name and remember I wished I could write like that. I never forgot that over the years. I’m so glad I got to reconnect with Selma through our club activities. She was a wonderful person and will be missed so much.
