Well heaven has gained another angel. You will be truly missed by so many. I will miss you dearly. You are one of the kindest people I know. Q: What will you never forget about Wilson?
A: The feelings of emotion and hartbrokeness that i feel right now with the passing of wilson lodge is very hard for me to comprehend. He was the best neighbour, friend advisor, and advocate that i had ever come across. Wilson was a man of compassion, thoughtfulness, wisdom and babysitter/ housesitter. I will always remember how wilson and marie stepped up without hesitation to take care of my baby girl "Morkie" for 8 weeks while we were in st john's for my husbands cancer treatment. Well they started something there because when we came back everytime morkie got a chance to get out the door over to wilson and maries she would go. A scratch on the door and in she would toddle in like she owned the place, there wilson and marie would give her a treat each and then a little nap she would have , then she would want to come back home. Not every body or neighbour would do that . Not without thinking it over first. Wilson would buy her the treats and always had them stored in the cupboard. Wilson will always be in my heart and my thoughts. I have alot of precious memories of wilson that i could put down here but i would take up the whole book, so in closing, rest easy wilson say hello to morkie for me . God speed

So sorry to hear about Wilson's passing. Please accept deepest condolences. It was only today when chatting with a teacher who taught with Wilson and myself that I became aware of his passing. I am in shock and cannot imagine how devastating his loss was for you. Hughie often mentioned Wilson who he knew growing up in Deer Lake, and I later got to know him when we taught together. He was such a quiet, gentle man who was always looking for where he could help, and if he couldn't help he was always there to listen. Such a wonderful person. And, you often spoke about how he was always there for you, always looking for how he could help with your many projects. I cannot imagine your depth of loss. My thoughts and prayers are with you.

Marie and Family, sorry to hear of Wilson’s passing, I remember so well attending school on High Street, he was always so quiet and mild. I use to wonder how in the world can he be a teacher. Mr. Badcock probably could of taught him how to raise his voice. Lol Great teacher.
Living so close by it was a pleasure seeing himself or Mr. Snelgrove out by the driveway on times and I would sing out to them saying Hello. I’m sure if he was here today he could tell a few of his own stories.

Marie, Melinda, Danyette and Robert, Wilson was such a wonderful human being. I will miss him calling out, Nasty Jackie, while I video chatted with Marie. I will miss the best berry picking buddy ever. He always found great spots for us and went off on his own to find his own patch. Somehow he always managed to fill his bucket first. Oh how many times did Wilson let me ride shot gun while he sat in the back seat. Wilson always managed to find jelly beans and candy corn to send down to me when Marie came sewing. He would always have a big smile on his face when Marie and I left to go on a quilting retreat. I think he liked the alone time. Wilson will be missed so much by us all. He is probably smiling somewhere while I am typing this and thinking, oh Jackie is nice today!
Hold on to all your wonderful memories and remember he would want you all to live life to the fullest.

Many memories of Mr Lodge going up on 3 rd avenue in Deer Lake. He was my favourite teacher in grade school at the Salvation Army school on church street. I used to get a ride home with for lunch everyday. He was so kind.
