I was very sad to here of Haz’s passing she was a true friend to all she met and a source of encouragement and strength to those who knew her. Deepest sympathies to Harry, sons, and families. Haz was such a funny, outgoing, kind and loved to chat. Always had time to say hello and catch up whenever we met whether at home, at an airport or on a flight. It was always going to be a nice time when I bumped into Haz. She lived to talk about her family and how they were doing but just as interested in hearing about yours. I can honestly say on one flight to Alberta I had actually wished the flight was longer as it was non-stop chatter. Haz was a joy to see anywhere you went. I will forever remember Haz and I know you all have wonderful memories of an exceptional lady.

Haz was a very kind soul. I stayed at her son Sean’s Hotel and every time she knew I was there she asked if I had food, or if she needed to leave anything in the hotel for me. Harry and family, I was so sad to hear of Haz's passing. She was genuinely one of the sweetest people I have been blessed to meet. I hope the many fond memories you all have of her give each of you much comfort in the days ahead. I wanted to share this picture from a couple years ago when Haz was giving us a ride home from the Legion. When we dropped off one person to the apartment next to Grafters, there was a song playing and I was like, you guys need to dance to this. There was no hesitation! It was such a happy moment. I'm am so shocked and saddened to hear of Haz's passing. In 1965 my parents, Leo and Marie Legge, moved to Happy Valley. Haz and her sisters, Wavey and Juan became first friends to me, Sharon and Yvonne.
