My memories of Cyril by Aunt Dulcie Sheppard:
Cyril, you came into our lives when you came home from the hospital...just a wee bundle of joy! We were all there to help when you needed anything. You were always in contact with me over the years; You visited my home, I gave you hair cuts, you would talk about your graduation and even your new girlfriend. You discussed things with me such as deciding to make the big move or not! One thing was certain, you always came to visit. In later years, we both had cabins at Crabb's Beach. We had a few "yarns" there! In the last few years, my visits to Crabb's were not as frequent due to mobility issues that come from hip and knee replacements and being just "too old!" Our last visit together, at Crabb's, was last summer (2022). You walked to visit with me, once again. Even though you were battling cancer and probably not feeling the best, you visited me anyway! You always called me your favorite aunt right until the last day of your hospital stay. My joking response was always, "But we cannot let the rest of them know!" You were always so kind and good to Frank and I. We would look forward to Saturdays, when you were lobster fishing, because you would always drop off our lobsters to us! Sometimes, you would stay awhile for a visit and other times in a hurry and much too busy! I remember, when I was in the hospital, you would always stay long after visiting hours were over. I will surely miss our chats on the phone and especially our last few phone chats! You were so loved, my sweet nephew! You are gone physically but in my heart and mind you will live on forever! Sending much love to the heavens! From your special aunt Dulcie, as you would always say! XOXO
