Obituary of Carol Myers

It is with broken hearts that the family of the late Carol Myers announce her unexpected passing on October 10, 2023, at her home in Happy Valley-Goose Bay at the age of 62.

Leaving to mourn with loving and cherished memories are husband of 42 years Phil, children Travis and Matthew, sister Peggy, and brother John(Barb).  As well as many of her nieces and nephews, other relatives, and friends.

Carol was predeceased by her mother and father, Hayward and Stella Groves, her sister Ruth, and her brother Charlie.

Carol was born in North West River on May 25, 1961, and grew up in Happy Valley.  Her childhood memories with her friends were very special to her and she would tell stories of them often. Carol married Phil on October 23, 1981, and had their two children Travis and Matthew who were her pride and joy.  Carol loved and cherished all the time she spent with all her nieces and nephews as they were all so special to her.  Carol spent many years working at the Terrington Co-op and had many friends and good memories from her time there.  More recently, she spent much of her time at Slippers-n-Things when she could, and it would bring her so much happiness to be able to spend time connecting with people in the community.  She enjoyed spending time with her large family whenever she could and listening to her favorite music every day.

Visitations will be held at Fillatre’s Funeral Home, Happy Valley–Goose Bay on Friday, October 13, 2023, from the hours of 1:00-2:00 pm for the family, 2:00-4:00 pm, and 7:00-9:00 pm for the public.
 

The funeral service will take place on Saturday, October 14th, 2023, at 2:00 pm from the Pentecostal Church, Happy Valley–Goose Bay with Reverend Alice officiating.
