Sincere condolences to Gord's family.
I haven't seen Gord since his teen years, when I shared happy weekends at his house as a close friend of his brother Bob before Bob's tragic passing. (Searching the woods for Bob was one of the worse moments of my life) I also have fond memories of his mother Mildred, who wasn't afraid to give me a loving and well deserved admonishment at the appropriate times. I have since often thought of Gord, and was saddened to hear of his passing. It was no surprise to me to hear of Gord's success in his career and how he served his community so well. Godspeed and Rest in Peace Gord.

Leona and family,
We are so very sorry for you loss. Gord was always such an important part of our family. I loved how each summer when I came home he would make a special point to get me out on the boat.
The weekly visits to the Wagner household was cherished. He was always there to help out where he could and always had a smile that would light up the room.
We are so happy that he was able to spend a few days with us in Alberta just before Christmas. Gord will forever be in our hearts.

Gord was always a special part of our family, he was loved dearly, always called my Mom "Sis". I always loved when he dropped in for coffee because no matter the situation he was always upbeat and positive.
We loved our yearly boat trip when we came home to visit. He would always let the kids drive, and they have very fond memories of the times they spent with him and Leona.

Anne and I had the pleasure of having Gord come to our home in Pasadena to help us with renovations when we moved here three years ago. He was a extremely hard worker and and took great pride in every job he did. He ate lunch with us every day for 4 weeks and during that time we had the opportunity to get to know him and realize what a wonderful gentleman he was.

I am so saddened to hear of Gordie’s passing. He continued to be a part of our lives, even though we moved from Curling when most of us were very young. We were shocked to hear of Gord's sudden passing on Sunday past.
We fondly remember Gord's attendance at Westside Tabernacle when we were there; with his friendly spirit and ready smile. I (Don) was always very appreciatve of Gord's assistance in the early days of the Christmas Dinner that the church sponsored. His willingness to provide help out with the deliveries, or to provide toys or gifts to the families that we served will always be something that we are thankful for.
His wonderful spirit and happy disposition is something to be cherished. Most of all; his love, care, and concern for the families of Corner Brook through the dedicaton to his work. and also his volunteerism will stand out as an abiding guality.
To be taken from us at this time leaves a deep hole and delivers a painful sting to the hearts and souls of everyone who knew him. However, as people who hold to a Great Hope of a glorious day of eternal reunion, we cling to the expectation of a wonderful day when we shall meet again.

As a young boy my uncle Gord took me to cornerbrook from st Anthony in his old ford ranger and I’m pretty sure we stopped at almost every wharf to look at the boats we even seen a silver fox while going around Bombay hills. I have to many amazing memories to share My Uncle Gord Is a true super hero gone way to soon love and miss you!

Leona, Robert, Daniel, and family:
Mike, myself and the children were shocked to hear of Gords sudden passing. We know first hand what it is like to loose a loved one so suddenly.
Gord was more than a neighbor, he was also a friend who always greeted us or our children with a smile and a chat usually discussing his family or asking how our family was doing. Gord a very happy man who loved Leona and his family dearly and treated everyone with respect.
We understand that your loss has not truly sunk in yet! So we pray that you find comfort in knowing that our hearts go out to you all during this difficult time and in the days ahead. Gord will live on in all of you and his memory will never be forgotten.
