It is with great sadness that the family of the late Phyllis Jean Drover announce her passing at the Western Memorial Hospital on Thursday April 4,2024 in her 94 year.

Mom was born to Parents Hedley and Violet Mootrey on May 2,1930 in St. John’s. She was the last survivor of a family of 12children. In the 1940s, she married William Drover from St. John’s and a move to Deer Lake came in the early 1950s when dad took up work as a watchmaker at Joseph’s Jewelers. Together they raised five sons and one daughter. She was pre-deceased by her husband William, in February 1994.

She leaves to mourn children Rick (Judy), Wayne (Glenda), Terry (Sandy), Carl (Roxanne), Cindy (Dana) Davidson, and Tim (Krista), 11 Grand-children, and 15 Great grand-children, many nieces and nephews and a large circle of friends.

Visitation will take place at Fillatre’s Funeral Home on Clinic Drive Deer Lake on Saturday, April 6, 2024 from 2-4 and 7-9.. Memorial services will take place Monday April 8 at 2PM, Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses, 16 Bennett Drive , Deer Lake

Interment will take place by the family later in the day. Flowers or a donation to jw.org are always welcome.
