My heartfelt sympathy to you and your family at this sad time. It's been a privilege knowing Guy over the years and being part of his healthcare team. A very likable person for sure and I don’t think I ever heard him complain, well, not much, just hard to get a straight answer from him but he did make me stop and think or wonder at times at some of the things he said to me or did. I’m sure you know exactly what I mean :) Know that I’m thinking about you and praying that you find peace and comfort in your precious memories. I am so sorry for your loss. Please accept my sincere condolences to you and your family as well as all his friends. He will definitely be missed. May he rest in Peace.

Deepest sympathy to Lillian and family on the loss of a wonderful husband, dad and grandad. I've been friends with Guy since I met him at 19, when living with Lil and Carrie on Bells Turn. I liked him then and still like him today. We spent alot of Sundays together at their house in CBS having a feed. When they moved to Pasadena we'd trek across the island and spend a week with them. Those were the days. Four little kids and four of us what fun we'd have. There was the time we took Mr. Hacketts boat and went to Woods Island for a weekend. He was our live entertainment, guitar was always in tow. Those memories are precious to me. Guy was a good friend to myself and Aidan. I'll certainly miss him. It was an honour to have known him. Wish I could scruff his ole head one more time. Rest Easy Guy till we meet again.

We are very saddened to hear of Guy's passing. A lovely picture and obituary of a wonderful person! Guy was always friendly and pleasant and a great neighbor when you lived on Elmwood Crescent.
We have so many wonderful memories of Christmas nights past when our street neighbors would all visit and Guy would be our "one-man band." He always sang "Any mummers 'loud in" for my mother, Muriel, and she just loved it! Guy would play guitar and sing for hours, and we all had so much fun....."Music and Friends" for sure!
We know the treasured memories you all have will help you through this sad and difficult time, and that those memories will keep him in your hearts forever. Our deepest and most heartfelt condolences to you all.

Since getting to know Guy over the last few years, we had some great times and created cherished memories together. From a beautiful wedding with his son Matt and our daughter Jenn, the joy of becoming grandparents to Avery, very jolly Christmas celebrations, The Calgary Stampede visits and camping in the Rocky Mountains with Guy singing around the campfire. We all enjoyed his singing talent. He developed many new friendships and fans out west! We had an amazing trip to Newfoundland to visit Guy and Lil, enjoying Lobster dinners and seeing icebergs and meeting all the family.
Memories like these are precious and hold a special place in our hearts.
Rest in peace our dear friend.

We were so saddened to hear of Guys passing .
Our very sincere condolences to all of you .
Guy was one of those fellows that you had to like him as soon as you met him. We have many great memories of our times on the road ie “hockey tournaments with the boys” and his guitar was never far away.
No matter how many times I asked him to play “ The Loss of the Marion” ( one of my favs)- he always came thru . It was said previous but the picture and obituary is Guy.

Lil, Matthew, Chris and families:
We were deeply saddened to hear of Guy's passing. We grew up together in St. Anthony (Pateyville) in the 50's/60's. I have so many good memories of Guy and our buddies playing hockey on the ponds in the winter and boats in the summer.
Guy loved reminiscing about the years gone by and all the old colorful characters. There was never a dull moment when Guy was around. He loved music, especially Irish, Waylon Jennings and "Stompin" Tom Connors, to mention a few.
We know you all have wonderful memories of him too. We are thinking of all of you at this difficult time. R.I.P. 'ol buddy; You will be missed.

What a beautiful tribute to a wonderful person. Guy was indeed all that was said and more. I knew Guy all my life and as children we were very close. He was like a big brother and I will certainly miss him. I am so happy that we got to spend time together over the years enjoying the music, reminiscing and listening to him talk about Avery with such love. We were saddened by the news of Guy’s passing. Guy was a wonderful person his obituary and picture describe him to the “T”. We always enjoyed our time spent together. It was not hard to coax a song out of him and it was not hard to share a wonderful meal with.
