Uncle Gary was not just a family member, but also a dear friend. His presence in our lives was immeasurable, and it's hard to imagine life without him.
As I look back on the memories we shared, I am filled with a sense of joy and gratitude. He was a funny, witty, and sarcastic guy, but he also had a heart of gold, when he wanted too. He could be stubborn at times, but we all have our moments, right?
For me, one of the hardest things to accept is that my walks down the road will never be the same without stopping by his house to say hello or throw a joke here and there. And I know that Hunter and Haven will miss visiting him too. I will miss his hand flick waves as he drove by, his sense of humor, smile, and laugh. He had a way of making everyone feel welcome and loved, and his home was always a place for music, friends, and laughter.
Uncle Gary had a big family, and he loved us all very much. But he was also a friend to many, and his wit and charm were infectious. He had a special bond with his cat, and they were inseparable companions.
I know that wherever he is now, he is at peace and surrounded by the love and warmth that he brought to our lives. I hope that his in his new world he is surrounded by the family and friends who have passed before him and they are all sitting around a table, drink in hand, singing and laughing together.
We will miss him greatly, but we will carry his memory with us always.
