Peter and I are very saddened to hear of Theresa's passing and extend our sincerest and heartfelt condolences at this time. I (Rosalind) have so many fond memories of Theresa. I met her in the summer of 1978 when Debbie and I were MUN roommates. I was warmly welcomed by she - and Margaret! It goes without saying that having Debbie for a roommate was immensely entertaining...but being in Theresa and Margaret's company was equally so! (In fact, I still never make a bed without tucking the sheet corners in correctly, as I am certain Margaret is watching to make sure I do it right!!) Upon meeting Theresa, I could easily see where Debbie inherited her sound character and strength. She had the perfect model in her mum who was one hard-working, smart, independent, practical and committed lady. I was a guest in Theresa's home many, many times over the years and have had numerous opportunities to witness her giving spirit and inner strength. Pulling into the driveway in both Humber and North Street always gave me a sense of excitement and warmth...knowing that I would be spending time in the company of the dearest of families. I was so pleased to be able to introduce my husband, Peter, to Theresa (and Margaret) almost forty years ago now, and he, too, has been in Theresa's delightful company many times over. We have never driven through Corner Brook without stopping for a visit with the Wade/Murley family...a tradition that is sure to continue for as long as our visits to Nfld do. Theresa's legacy will be an enduring one, to be sure. Like us, we are certain that anyone who has spent even the smallest amount of time in her company, can attest to the pillar of strength and character Theresa Wade was. We will cherish our dear memories. Rest in peace, Theresa.
