JOHN ALBERT STONE

1939-2018

It is with regret that we announce the passing of John Albert Stone on Wednesday, November 7th, 2018 at the Western Memorial Regional Hospital at the age of 79.  Left to mourn with fond and loving memories his wife of 52 years, Lorraine, daughter Paulette (Dennis), son Curtis (Shelley) three precious granddaughters Regan, Kendra, Hannah. As well he will be lovingly remembered by his sisters: Edna, Stella (George), Loretta, Verna (Ward), Ruth, Mavis (Mike); brothers: Ralph, Eric, Hedley; sisters-in-law Ida, Alvina and many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. John was predeceased by his parents Alfred and Jessie, brothers Lloyd and Paul, brothers-in-law Ellison & Ron, sister-in-law Lorraine. In keeping with his wish’s cremation has taken place. Visitation will be held at Fillatre’s Funeral Home 4 St. Marks Ave. Saturday from 2-4 & 7-9 pm. The funeral service will be held Sunday, November 11, 2018 at 2:00 pm from Fillatre’s Funeral Home Chapel with The Most Reverend Percy Coffin officiating. Burial will be held at a later date. As expressions of sympathy in lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to Western Memorial Regional Hospital Foundation or to the Palliative Care unit.
