Beulah May (Decker) Wells
Corner Brook,NL
April 24, 1925 – February 3, 2020
It is with deep sadness that the family of Beulah May Wells announce her peaceful passing at Corner Brook Long Term Care on Monday, February 3, 2020, at the age of 94 years. She leaves to mourn her son, David (Carla), grandson Jonathan (Bobbie), great-granddaughter Madia, numerous nieces, nephews, great-nieces and grand-nephews and a wide circle of friends from a lifetime of giving and service to the Lord. She was outgoing and loved to travel. Beulah was a friend to everyone who knew her. She was especially known for her lifetime of knitting. Many people still have beautiful articles knit by Beulah over the years. Beulah was also known as the “Card Lady”. If someone had a birthday, was sick, was mourning, or if she felt they needed a pick-me-up, she would send them a card. And equally, she loved to receive cards. Beulah has been a faithful member of the Salvation Army Church since approximately 1940. She was a devout Sunday School Teacher, and later in life a member of the Home League, and Bible Study Group, to name a few. She never missed a Sunday service. Beulah was predeceased by her husband, Ford (1975), parents Alice Moores Decker and Joseph Decker and step-father Pearce Decker; sisters, Dorothy, Mary and Ruby; brothers: Sam, Bill, Francis, Francis Sr., and Joe. Visitation will take place at Fillatre's Funeral Home 4 St. Mark’s Avenue on Tuesday, February 4, 2020 from 7-9 p.m.; Wednesday, February 5, 2020 from 2-4 p.m. and 7-9 p.m. Funeral will take place from the Salvation Army Temple on O’Connell Drive on Thursday, February 6, 2020 at 2 p.m. with Majors Frank and Rita Pittman officiating. Interment to follow at Mount Patricia Cemetery. Donations may be made in her honour to the Salvation Army Temple, O’Connell Drive, Corner Brook.
