Thelma Joyce Kawaja December 12th, 1952 - March 4th, 2020 Corner Brook, NL The family of the late Thelma Joyce Kawaja announce her passing on March 4, 2020 at the Western Memorial Regional Hospital in Corner Brook at the age of 67 years. She will be lovingly missed by her husband of 46 years, David; her children Jon (Vicki), Paul (Colleen) and Marc (Shelly); 5 grandchildren Aaron, Chelsey, Stanley, Claire and Jacob; her mother Hazel Palmer and siblings Theresa (Ernest) Collins, Sharon Pippy (Chesley - predeceased), Larry (Kathy) Palmer, and Marilyn (Donald) Ball as well as many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. She is predeceased by her father William Frank Palmer. Visitation will take place at Fillatre's Funeral Home, 4 St. Mark's Avenue, Corner Brook on Saturday, March 7 from 7-9pm. The funeral will be conducted at St. Michael and All Angels Anglican Church on Park Drive, Sunday, March 8 at 2 pm with Reverend Roberta Woodman officiating. The family would like to send a special thank you to the Palliative Care team for their love and support. Flowers are graciously accepted or donations in memory of Thelma can be made to the Canadian Cancer Society.
