I am so sorry that the family, and the world has lost Aunt Leah. Her passing leaves a big hole in your lives and my thoughts and prayers are with you all at this very sad and difficult time.
All my memories of Aunt Leah are treasured. From childhood, I remember her most in her apron, cooking and baking and happily feeding a houseful of us when we would visit. She was always glad to see you on her doorstep and I spent many happy hours playing with Cathy, Valerie and Micheal in the garden, picking damsons and plums from her trees, and exploring the woods behind their house. And I'm sure, getting into mischief!.
Many years later, I found where she lived in Hawkes Bay and knocked on her door. Her face lit up in a big smile of recognition. i was amazed that she immediately knew me and drew me in with a big hug. She hadn't changed. Her warmth and kindness, and good food, were gifts she shared without reservation. She will always be my favorite aunt with a special place in my heart.
I hope your hearts will be comforted with the memories and knowing of how very much she loved you. Even though she is no long with you in the physical, she and her love will always be there watching over you, that I am sure of.
