Nina Hoddinott River of Ponds, NL May 24, 1929 – June 9, 2020 On Tuesday, June 9, 2020 our Mom, Nina Hoddinott completed her earthly journey at Long Term Care in Corner Brook in the presence of her family. She leaves with fond and loving memories her daughters: Rhoda (Warren), Edna (Ivan), Norma (Brian), Susie (Vincent) and Kim (Basil); sons: Harvey (Brenda), Warren (Jean), Albert (Marsha) and John (Colette); her grandchildren: Sandra (Vernon), Richard (Lori), Dennis (Deanne), Dallas (Doug), Veronica (Dale), Brittany (Dwane), Brent, Pamela (Ron), Trinda (Wayne), Robin (Trina), Kristy (Shannon), Melony, D.J., Nicholas, Kayle, Keenan and Chloe; great-grandchildren: Gabrielle, Dylan, James, Devon, Delaney Nena, Sadie, Claire, Ben, Andrew, Savannah, Richie and Alliyah; great-great-grandchild Chase; her sister-in-law Alice Patey and many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Nina is predeceased by her husband Riley, parents Fred and Susie (Genge) Patey, sons Dennis and Brent, baby sister Edna, brother Amaziah, great-granddaughter Janelle and daughter-in-law Faye. Special thanks go out to the workers at Long Term Care and the Northern Retirement Home in Port Saunders. Pamela Wight you are a blessing. Due to Covid-19 Government restrictions a private family viewing will be held at Fillatre’s Funeral Home, 4 St. Mark’s Avenue and a private burial service will be held on Friday, June 12 at 2:00 p.m. with The Rev. Deacon Marie Smith and The Rev. Deacon Ida Patey officiating. As expressions of sympathy flowers graciously accepted or donations may be made to a charity of one’s choice.
