I met Asa right after I retired from Syncrude and asked him to help me out with a few plumbing problems we were having in our building we agreed on a contract for work rendered, we became very good friends over the years. I finally fully retired and left Fort McMurray spoke to Asa a few times after that then attempted contact him on several occasions after that at no avail, that's when my daughter Said check the obituaries and to our shock Asa's name came up. Just to let you all know he was like a brother to me and my wife. I still think about him today not only a friend but a brother, miss you man God Bless and keep you in a safe place. I just found out a few days ago July 17 2021 of Asa's passing myself and my wife are definitely shocked. We were very good friends when we lived in Fort McMurray We stayed in touch often. I would like to know more of his passing please send me an email to kevinpardley1942@gmail.com

I'm so sorry to hear of Asa's passing. He will be sadly missed.
Asa was a very close friend of my dad, Frank. I remember they would sit around the table telling their tall tales about who caught the bigger fish or other hunting tale. I can still remember them laughing & reminiscing over their adventures. Asa has such an infectious & fun laugh.

Heartbreaking to hear of Asa’s passing. I will never forget the great times we had as kids. It was great to see him in the Dominican a couple years back as well as the last come home year. My heart goes out to you all and his family during this difficult time. Rest in Peace my friend. I will always cherish the great times we had together.

We are so very sorry of the loss of your son Asa. Asa was a good man and a great friend. We share in the heartbreak of losing Asa.
Asa was such a positive, considerate and caring person. He always had a smile and a good story to share whether it be about hunting, work or life in general. Right up until the last time we talked he had a new hunting tip for me.
I will miss the good laughs we had together in his secret hunting spot. Hunting in Spirit River will never be the same. I’m sure where he is now, he will find a new secret hunting spot.
I sure will miss my hunting buddy and friend.

So sad to hear this , I met Asa and his family through hockey and work in Fort McMurray. Our sons played together, and our families watched and cheered together. All fantastic people, always glad to see us, we have some great memories. RIP Asa :-(

My heart breaks for all of you.
The last time Norm and I saw Asa he was at Big Valley Jamboree in Camrose, Alberta. He was the same as when we last saw him at home in Newfoundland....happy, and full of life. So excited to see someone from home. For Norm it was a buddy from home...and for me..it was family....
I pray Asa has found peace. Angeline, Maurice, and Nadia..I cannot know your heartache, but I weep for your hurt and sorrow. Sending our love. Asa has some great family and friends to welcome him to his eternal home...
