Precious in the sight of the Lord is the death of his faithful servants. Ps.116:15
We know the final release of a loved one is painful.
Even Jesus' tears flowed when his good friend Lazarus died. But because of God's promises, we have hope beyond physical death. Those who belong to Him - are "precious" to Him. Though they die, they'll be alive again. What a comfort to me to know Winnie is with her Lord now and forever.
I am sad to say goodbye to a precious friend, that I've known since working at S.A. Provincial Headquarters, for over 50 years.
Both my husband and I have enjoyed many visits from Winnie at our Cottage on Ocean Pond Road. Winnie caught many trout with Lo's assistance. They both loved to set out gardens and shared many discussions regarding their endeavours. Of course, I was the Farmers wife and I did the preserves in the Fall for the Farmer!
Duane, I commend you for your faithful caring, labour of love to Winnie during her long illness!
