It is with great sadness that the family of the late Bart Jack Sr. announce his passing on October 13, 2020 at his home in Sheshatshiu, Labrador, at the age of 69 years. He will be sadly missed by his wife Naomi Jack; Children: Bart Jack Jr, Edwina Jack, Tim Jack, Marcel Pokue, Jerome Jack and Anastasia Pokue; Grandchildren: Cyrus Jack, Petshish Jack, Nikashantess Penashue, Timothy Jack Jr, Jaxon Benuen, Genevieve Pokue, Dela Rose Pokue, Hannah Riche, Anna Pokue, Kellan Pokue, Shipu Andrew, Langdon Andrew, Matish Andrew, Jenna Johnston; Brothers: Jerome Jack Sr, Paul Jack and Enum Hill; Sisters Justine Jack, Anastasia Jack, Katie Jack, Emma Jack, Mary Jack and Martha Jack; as well as a large circle of nieces, nephews, other family and friends. Bart was predeceased by his parents Michel and Philomena Jack; Brothers: Phillip Jack, John Jack, Franz Jack; Sisters: Mary Kathleen Jack and Theresa Jack. Due to COVID-19 restrictions, a private family viewing will be held at Fillatre’s Funeral Home, Happy Valley Goose Bay on October 14th, 2020. A Funeral service will be held on October 17th, 2020 from the Our Lady of the Snows Catholic Church in Sheshatshiu, Labrador with Father Joe officiating, interment to follow at the Tshitshitua Shushep Cemetery. Special thanks to the Band Council, Innu Nation, IDLP, MTIE and Sheshatshiu Innu School. As expressions of sympathy, flowers will be graciously accepted by the family.
